Hard Target 2 is an adrenaline-fueled sequel to the 1993 classic starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. Directed by Roel Reiné, this standalone installment features martial arts expert Scott Adkins as the lead, bringing intensity and impeccable hand-to-hand combat skills to the screen.

In this story, Adkins plays Wes Baylor, a former mixed martial arts fighter haunted by a tragic accident in the ring. Lured to Thailand with the promise of a highly paid final fight, he soon discovers he has been tricked into becoming the prey in a deadly human hunting game, orchestrated by a ruthless billionaire named Aldrich (played by Robert Knepper).
Abandoned in the jungle with a small head start and a survival kit, Wes must use all his wits and combat skills to stay alive. His pursuers are elite hunters who have paid for the thrill of tracking and killing a human being. But as the hunt progresses, Wes turns the tables and becomes the hunter himself.
The film delivers fast-paced action, spectacular stunts, and fight choreography that showcase Adkins’ physical strength and agility. While the plot follows a familiar formula, it remains true to the “man versus hunter” genre with a modern twist and energetic execution.

Though it doesn’t directly continue Van Damme’s storyline, Hard Target 2 preserves the core concept of survival and revenge, offering a raw action and martial arts experience for fans of the genre.
