“Ransom Canyon” (2025)

“Ransom Canyon” is a romantic western television series that premiered on Netflix on April 17, 2025. Based on the novel saga by Jodi Thomas, the series follows the intertwined lives and loves of three ranching families in the mountainous Texas Hill Country.

Starring Josh Duhamel, Minka Kelly, and Eoin Macken, among others, the story explores themes of love, loss, and loyalty as the families fight to protect their land and legacy against external threats. With breathtaking landscapes and intense family dynamics, the series blends emotional drama with the spirit of the modern Old West.

The production was filmed on location in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and employed over 700 local residents, including 380 crew members, 40 principal actors, and 300 extras. The story is loosely inspired by the first novel of the Ransom Canyon series, published in 2015.
